(Last Major Update Feb 15, 2025)
👋 Hello Friends!
If you’re reading this, it means you’re part of my inner circle: friend, family, or someone from the inner circle shared this with you! It also probably means I wasn’t available to take you around, and honestly, it’s really more my loss than yours. I originally put this guide together as a virtual stand-in for me so, read everything in my voice, hehe.
📌 How to use this guide:
I’ll mark an asterisk (*) next to the places I visit most frequently and if you like what I like, you’ll like these places too. ****
If you’re completely new to London, then I certainly would recommend “touristy” places because London is absolutely fabulous for that. After that, if you’ve been a few times and want to go beyond the tourist stuff, I have recommendations of things I actually do myself.
One last note: London is my favourite city in the world when it’s sunny, but that’s rare. You’re more likely to visit while it’s cold or rainy ☔, but let’s turn it into a special experience! I’d take you to pick up an incredible umbrella from James Smith & Sons *. Founded in 1830, it moved to its current 53 New Oxford location in 1857 and has barely changed since (or so I’ve been told, I’m not a 200 year old tortoise). Stepping inside is like transporting back to the Victorian era, a classic London experience in and of itself.
Enjoy the guide, and message me so I can join you where I can.
One of the most amazing things about London are how many free museums and art galleries there are. It’s unlike any other major city and a unique feature for London.
